The new 25.2-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor delivers a richer tonal expression and improved AF performance through Phase Detection AF, helping you produce high-quality content. ProRes RAW HQ internal recording 5.7K 30p ProRes RAW HQ footage can be recorded on the camera body itself, giving you the freedom to capture the moment at the click of a button with minimal setup and no need for external devices. Improved gimbal compatibility also expands the range of content. 32-bit Float Recording When combined with the DMW-XLR2 (sold separately), the LUMIX GH7 delivers the world's first 32-bit float recording, improving the quality and efficiency of the entire workflow. With its wide dynamic range, the 32-bit float format records more information, from quiet to loud sounds, eliminating the need for tedious sound level adjustments during audio recording. Phase Hybrid AF The most important thing with autofocus is to be dependable. In addition to contrast AF, the Lumix GH7 offers the Phase Detection AF system, which dramatically improves subject tracking performance and metering technologies. The camera can capture the subject even in challenging scenes where multiple subjects are involved, delivering accuracy even in backlit or low-light settings. Advanced detection AF The Lumix’s advanced detection AF pushes the envelope on of sports, wildlife, and car/motorcycle photography. More accurate human body recognition enables you to single out a subject from among a field of athletes, for example, and shoot continuously. The LUMIX GH7 can now recognize a wider range of subjects and target parts, including human and animal eyes, the front of vehicles, the helmets of drivers and motorcyclists, the frontmost car of a train, or the nose of an airplane. Tough magnesium alloy body The magnesium alloy full die-cast frame is highly durable, while sealing helps protect every seam, dial, and button. The camera as a whole is dust- and splash-resistant and designed for use at temperatures as low as -10°C. Tilt and free-angle rear monitor The monitor can be rotated even with an HDMI or USB cable attached to the camera. This allows for greater flexibility when checking the monitor while connected to an external recorder or other device. 3680k-dot 0.8x OLED LVF The 3,680k-dot 0.8x live view finder uses a highly responsive, easy-to-see OLED display to capture even fast-moving subjects in fine detail. Dynamic Range Boost Dynamic Range Boost function acquires two types of images with a single exposure and synthesizes them in real time to create composite images with rich tonal range even in scenes with significant luminance differences. With still images, it allows for richer expression of shadow tones in RAW data. With video, it enables 13+-stop V-Log/V-Gamut recording. It achieves a wide dynamic range in all ISO sensitivity ranges. Unlimited 4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K 60p/50p video recording time Offering 4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K 60p/50p internal recording, the LUMIX GH7 delivers unlimited recording time* when used at the recommended operating temperature. At telephoto range, where B.I.S. is reduced, 7.5-stop 5-axis Dual I.S. 2 provides powerful compensation, allowing you to shoot in low-light settings and at telephoto range. Active I.S. + Advanced E.I.S. The LUMIX GH7 also makes it easy to shoot video on the move. Active I.S. determines the status of camera shake and optimizes correction ratios to compensate even for significant motion, while advanced E.I.S. suppresses perspective distortion that occurs during video shooting. You can use High Mode to compensate for even greater motion, meaning that you can enjoy blur-less shooting, even if you start running with the camera still rolling. Real Time LUT LUTs can be applied to photos and videos on the camera body itself, allowing you to create photos and videos straight out of the camera. Supports .VLT and .CUBE file formats.
