Cypress essential oil is extracted through steam distillation from the needles and twigs of young branches of the Italian or Mediterranean cypress tree. Known for its association with Van Gogh's paintings, this oil is believed to calm intense emotions, such as anger, making it helpful during significant life changes. Cypress oil acts as a vasoconstrictor, aiding in conditions like varicose veins and hemorrhoids. It is also effective for managing issues related to excess fluid, such as heavy menstruation, excessive sweating, cough, bronchitis, hemorrhage, and fluid retention.
