An empire waist means the dress does the shaping before you have even thought about it. The ruffle appears twice, once around the V-neckline and again at the raised waist seam, which is where the skirt starts falling. From there the chiffon drops clean to midi length with nothing interrupting it. Full-length blouson sleeves finish in elasticated cuffs with a frill at the wrist, and the body is lined.
